Live Animal Transportation Services, LLC began assisting clients that needed to relocate their pets in July of 2011. While we are a new company, we don’t lack experience. Our staff has over 37 years combined experience in the animal relocation industry!
Our facility is located at Bush Intercontinental Airport just across from the East Cargo Area. This location puts us in a unique position as we can quickly recover animals that arrive at IAH as we are within one mile of most of the airline cargo facilities. We can also check them in for flights within minutes of a long walk or access to a litter box. Though we are not a long-term boarding facility, we do have facilities to take care of your pets for a few days while we prepare their export documents. When your animals are in our care, we treat them just as we would our own pets and are happy to provide referrals from many satisfied customers. Should the need for long-term boarding arise, we have relationships with several boarding facilities in the area.
How can we help?
To begin with, we are experts when it comes to finding the safest, most direct route for your pets. We stay up to date on all import and transportation requirements for your pets. We have excellent relationships with the personnel at the airlines that serve IAH. We are not simply “pet travel agents”. It is our mission to assist those that need to relocate pets and animals in any way we can. If you decide to use our service to help relocate your pets, there is a good chance that we will come out and meet you and your pets before we have charged you a dime. We have found that it’s better to know what size kennel you pet requires for transport by actually seeing your pet in the crate prior to the day of shipment! Of course, this isn’t always necessary, but we want you to be comfortable with us when it’s time to ship your pets. We want you to be confident that you have made the right choice and be assured that your pet will have the safest and most comfortable journey possible.
There are many companies out there that will help you relocate your pet from any origin to any destination. We work closely with many of them and often do pick ups and deliveries in the Houston area for them. Please understand, that is not how we work! We only handle imports and exports here in Texas. If you are located elsewhere, give us a call or send an e-mail and we will refer you to a pet shipper in your area that we trust. We are pleased to handle all our deliveries in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas or Oklahoma using a complete climate-controlled van.
How can you reach us?
E-mail us at info@pettransport.com or call us anytime at 281-821-2244. We don’t have traditional office hours. We are here whenever YOU need us! Before we ship or receive your pets, you’ll have a complete list of cell phone numbers and after hours e-mail addresses for all of our staff. That’s just the way we do things.
Pricing
Each shipment is quoted based on exactly what your needs are and we usually like to review your pet’s vaccination and medical history with you before we give any prices. Some countries simply require an international health certificate and proof of vaccination, whereas other countries have testing protocols that must begin months in advance of shipment. Don’t wait! Call now and let us advise you!
A bit about our staff
My name is Kyle Hay. I have been shipping animals for over 20 years. Our customers often ask if we are “pet people” or “animal lovers”. The answer that I usually give is that there as many dogs in my house as there are people. I have had a dog very day of my life. My first was named “Crisco”. He followed me everywhere I went, every day of my childhood. Now I’m blessed to have “Hannah” an 8 year old Labrador retriever that we call the “puppy princess”. At home she claims the couch, but her real passion is retrieving ducks! “Shiloh” is a 115 pound, six year old German shepherd that has absolutely no idea how big he is and is terrified of thunder. Our newest, “Gunner”, is a 7 month old German shepherd that just got back from basic obedience training. He is coming along very well! So yes, I love animals and I love my job! There is just something about seeing a child reunited with their pet that makes me smile. That’s why I do it.
David Reed is my partner. I have known him for over 17 years and if anyone will spoil your pet, he will! He usually blames it on me, but David is the one that gets to know the pets best. He takes the dogs on long walks just about every chance he gets! He has a great attitude, is extremely honest and dependable and always gets things done that no one else could get done.
Our latest addition to our staff is my wife, Dianna. Like me, she wants to take ever cute puppy or kitty that comes through our facility home with us. She takes care of our accounts receivable and payable, when she isn’t off giving someone’s pet a little extra attention.
I guess I should mention our son Brogan as well. He is only six, but he is a great little helper. He loves to rename all the pets that transit our facility and cries way too often when it’s time for them to go home.
